Home Safety and Fall Prevention for Care Partners

In this session, led by our occupational therapist, Maureen Burke, we will explore key strategies for fall prevention tailored specifically for care partners. The focus will be on practical techniques to create a safer home environment for individuals with mobility challenges, tips on recognizing and reducing fall risks, and guidance on how care partners can assist with balance exercises. The session will also cover how to respond effectively if a fall does occur, ensuring both the individual’s and the care partner’s safety.
